Jess's perfect day

Hi there! You probably already know me. I've been posted on this blog a few times already. :)  But if you don't, I'm Jess. Remember that, Jess Jess Jess. So let me get on with the show. I'm going to tell you about my perfect day.

It started out quite normal. I slept in as usual and I could hear my mom's footsteps coming up the stairs to wake me up.
"Come on! Get up! You're going to be late for school!"
After a few tries she finally got me up. Why! My bed is just so cozy. It really is. Maybe she'll surprise me with breakfast in bed. "Come on, your breakfast is on the table." Or not.
Still sleepy, I sit up and grab my phone. I start to play Fruit Ninja when I got a text from Bailey.
**********************************************************************************
Bailey says-                                                                                                                                 Jess says-

You awake?
Yeah
Did you look outside?
No
It's snowing!!!!!!!!
Cool. I gotta eat breakfast.
Me too.
See ya at school.
Bye
Bye
**********************************************************************************
Wow! I hope they cancel school.
The first snow.
I'm so excited that I forgot it was time for breakfast.
"Jess! Get down here."
I hurry down the stairs to the kitchen. MMMMM! Waffles. Strawberries. Watermelon. And best of all, Whipped cream!
My mom hands me a glass of milk and I gobble up my breakfast. I could eat that everyday.
I walk back into my room to get ready for school. Before I can get to my closet to choose my clothes for  the day I notice how messy I left my bed.
I might as well fix it.
Almost done!
Ta Da!
Now it is time to get dressed.
I walk over to my closet and choose my clothes.
One of my favorite outfits.
I get dressed.
Now I head over to the bathroom to brush my teeth and my hair. My hair sure is a mess when I wake up.
I get together everything  I need for school. Then I put on my coat and hat. I grab my backpack and run out the door.

I head to the bus stop. It's a long walk. I have to walk all the way down my street to the edge on my town's main road.

I'm almost there when I get a call from my mom.

They have apparently canceled school because the snow shows no signs of stopping and the roads are very icy.
Yeah!
I start heading back to my house when my phone rings again.
Oh no. Maybe they have decided to have us go to school anyway.
Nope.
It's Bailey.
"Did you hear?" she asks when I pick up.
"Yeah!"
"Our first snow day!"
"Hey, do you want to come over" Luckily Bailey lives two houses down from me.
"Yes! I'll ride my sled over!"
"I'll see you soon!"
"Not if I see you first!"
"Bye" we say at the same time.

I hurry home. I see Bailey riding her sled down  the hill separating me from my neighbor.
I pick up my pace.
We both hop onto my front porch at the same time.
Then we burst into giggles.

After warming up in my house we built
a fort.

We watched the Samantha movie.
And finished off this perfect day with hot cocoa.
