Christmas Eve Eve

Twas the day before the day before Christmas, and all through the house  everyone was celebrating. That is, all but Chrissa.

Christmas Eve  Eve

The date was December 23, 2013. There were exactly two days to Christmas.
And I was sleeping. What was I thinking. 7:30 and there was soooooo much to do.
I need to get going. My eyes flash open. I sit up. I look at what I wore to bed. Yesterday's clothes. Eh. I have a lot to do, I don't have time to change.
I make myself some breakfast. I need to eat, I'm starving. I can't remember if I ate dinner last night. I was really busy cleaning the house up.
After I wash the dishes, my feet are soooooooooo cold. I search around for some socks. I can't find two matching socks. I really have to get going. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and my tree isn't decorated.
I hurry into the living room and stare for a moment at the undecorated tree. It looks so plain and boring.

I dig through the box of ornaments. I can't find the lights.
I dump all of the ornaments on the floor. Still no lights. Maybe one of the girls took them somewhere. Hmmm.
I check the side of my bed. Nope.
I check in the kitchen. Still no lights. Where could they be.
In my office!
I try to untangle them but end up dragging them into my bedroom to untangle the there.
This is impossible!!!
I need to calm down. I lay down for a minute.
                     Who needs lights anyway?
I'm almost done decorating the tree.
I finish up. That was exhausting. Yaaaaaawn. I could go for a little snooze.
Creak. I hear a squeaky floorboard. Someone's in my room. I sit up all of a sudden. This person in my room is not a person, well people don't float three inches above the floor. Must have been a rat I heard. I shiver.
"Wh-who are you?" I ask.
"I'm Caroline, the ghost of Christmas perfect-ness."
"What?"
"I'm here to show you Christmas."
"I know what Christmas is."
"Just come on. This trip will be a bit windy.
"Let me get a hat first." I replied
"Ready, Set, Hear we go!"

 Whooosh

"Here we are."
"Look at this huge tree!"
"This family is very wealthy," Caroline started, "they spent lots of money this Christmas."
"That's cool"
"But do they look happy, their Christmas is as perfect as it can get."
"No." I replied
I observed two family members sitting on the couch watching tv. They looked extremely bored.
Whooosh!
"Where are we?" I asked looking around.
"This family is very poor. Their Christmas is almost nothing."
"That's sad."
"But do they look happy?"

"Yes!"
" Ok, last one."
I blink.
"It's me!"
"Chrissa, wake up!"
"This is going to be the best Christmas EVER!!!!"
